William J. Carlin, Jr.

Managing Director


William J. Carlin is a Managing Director in the Public Finance department at Boenning & Scattergood. Mr. Carlin’s prior municipal bond industry experience includes being a Managing Director with PNC Capital Markets in the Philadelphia, PA office and a Managing Director with A. G. Edwards (and its successor) in their first Public Finance office in Philadelphia, PA. In addition, he served as a First Vice President in the Public Finance department at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC for 25 years. He began his career as a municipal analyst with Butcher & Singer. Mr. Carlin has been personally responsible for more than 750 successful financings, including municipal and school district general obligation, water and sewer, hospital and senior health care, and complex refunding transactions as well as various 501(c)(3) projects. Mr. Carlin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and his Master of Business Administration (finance) from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA. He is a member of the Municipal Bond Club of Philadelphia.
