Harold began his business career in 1970 after his graduation from Marquette University, when he joined his father, Harold Sr., at Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. Since that time, and following in his father’s footsteps, he has continued growing the Firm into the sustainable and relevant financial services company it is today.
Harold proudly delivers financial strategies alongside the longstanding traditions of integrity, expertise, and commitment to client service that have come to define the Boenning brand. He is a registered principal and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 licenses. He also has completed the SIA Executive Leadership program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Throughout his career, Harold has been very active in the financial services industry, at the local, regional, and national levels. He has served on on the Business Conduct Committee for the NASD (now FINRA) and the Mid-Atlantic Group of the Security Industry Association (SIA). He has held leadership positions with the Bond Club of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Securities Association. He was one of the founders and a director of the Executive and ALCO Committees of Founders Bank in Bryn Mawr, PA, an FDIC-insured institution that was acquired by Susquehanna Bancshares. Harold is a former member of the Board of Trustees for St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, PA, and served on its Development Committee.
Harold is a Life Member of the Union League of Philadelphia and a member at the Aronimink Golf Club and Merion Cricket Club. When he is not in the office, he is most likely to be found on the golf course and spending time with his wife, daughters, and dog. He enjoys making fond memories with his family during trips to Maine, Washington DC, and New York.
